Hi! My name is Phoebe Evans, I'm 18 years old and I live on a beef and sheep farm in the small village of Penybontfawr, that is situated at the foot of the Berwyn Mountains in Mid Wales.

 

In September I will be studying BSc Agriculture at Aberystwyth University, but for the time being, baking is my everyday go to.

I love baking and experimenting and sometimes surprising people with my bakes!

 

Baking has been a hobby of mine for many years, my Mum is always cooking, as well as trying out new recipes, I believe this is why I love experimenting.

I also used to love competing in the annual village shows, entering every competition and section if I could!

It is only now that I have realised how much I enjoy sharing my bakes with others and trading recipes, even more so during this lockdown period, where people are finding activities to fill time up.

I have definitely taken advantage of this time to practice recipes and my family have been more than willing to be my chief taste-testers!

My Saturday's mainly consist of watching Saturday Kitchen Live and these days Sundays are for John Terrodes, Lisa and Ainsley Herriot.

Baking of course isn't for everyone but to me it is therapeutic, I enjoy the excitement of experimenting and being able to tell people that YES, I have made this myself.

 

I hope my page inspires people to get baking and to try out new recipes, whatever your age or culinary knowledge!
